American Footworks je mládežnícky folklórny súbor (pre vek 14 až 26 rokov) z oblasti
RockyMountains, konkrétne z Utahu a Idaha v USA. Je členom CIOFF USA. Na rozdiel od
mnohých amerických folklórnych skupín, ktoré sa špecializujú len na jeden štýl, ich repertoár
je naozaj pestrý – odzrkadľuje bohatú zmes kultúrnych vplyvov. Uvidíte u nich všetko, od
kovbojských tancov cez cakewalk, hoedowns, charleston, southernwaltz až po
lindyswing,bluesový step a rôzne formy amerického cloggingu (rytmický tanec s
„dupákmi“). Vystúpenia American Footworkssú energické, plné radosti a všade, kam prídu,
si získajú publikum. Sú jednoducho zárukou dobrej nálady a zábavy.
American Footworks is a folk dance ensemble for youth (ages 14-26) in the heart of the
Rocky Mountains in Utah, state Idaho in USA.
We are a member of CIOFF USA. Unlike many other USA folk dance teams who only
perform one kind of dance, our repertoire reflects our diverse heritage, ranging from Cowboy
dances to Cake Walk, Hoe Downs to Charleston, Southern Waltz to Lindy Swing, Pioneer to
Blues tap, as well as the numerous forms of exciting percussive American clogging. The
variety is entertaining and exciting and we are always a crowd favorite, adding energy and
joy wherever we go!
