Folklórny a divadelný súbor Dubkáčik z Buzitky (okres Lučenec) vznikol v roku 2012, čím nadviazal na miestne tradície z rokov 1926 a 1967. Svoj názov nesie po 500-ročnom dube – dominante obce. Pod umeleckým vedením manželov Veroniky a Mateja Balážovcov sa dospelý kolektív venuje výskumu a interpretácii ľudovej kultúry Novohradu, najmä z obcí Polichno, Ábelová, Veľký Lom a Buzitka. Súbor tvorí autorské programy (napr. Zabudnutý Novohrad, Krčma u Ťapákov), vydal CD Dedinské pesničky Novohradu (2018) a úspešne súťaží na prehliadkach Vidiečanova Habovka či Nositelia tradícií. Medzi jeho najväčšie úspechy patrí vystúpenie na hlavnom pódiu FF Východná (2024) a ocenenia za prezentáciu krojov v maďarských Sečanoch (2022, 2023).
Prirodzeným omladením tradícií je Detský folklórny súbor Malý Dubkáčik, ktorý sa sformoval v roku 2016. V mladšej a staršej zložke dnes združuje deti od 5 do 16 rokov z Buzitky a okolia. Pod rovnakým pedagogickým vedením manželov Balážovcov čerpá z detských hier, piesní a zvykoslovia Novohradu, pričom spracováva aj materiál zo zaniknutých lokalít Lešť a Turie Pole. Unikátne lokálne špecifiká Malý Dubkáčik úspešne potvrdil aj v roku 2025 s choreografiou „Koddietke v Lôme svadbu spískajú“.
The Dubkáčik Folklore and Theatre Ensemble from Buzitka (Lučenec district) was established in 2012, building upon local amateur theatre and folklore traditions dating back to 1926 and 1967. The ensemble is proudly named after a 500-year-old oak tree, a historic landmark of the village. Under the artistic direction of the husband-and-wife team Veronika and Mateja Baláž, the adult collective dedicates itself to the research and interpretation of the folk culture of the Novohrad region, focusing primarily on the villages of Polichno, Ábelová, Veľký Lom, and Buzitka. The group creates original themed programs (such as Forgotten Novohrad or The Pub at the Ťapáks), released the CD Village Songs of Novohrad (2018), and regularly ranks in the top tiers at national competitions like Vidiečanova Habovka and Nositelia tradícií. Among their greatest achievements are performing on the main stage of the Východná Folklore Festival (2024) and winning awards for their traditional costume presentations in Szécsény, Hungary (2022, 2023).
The Malý Dubkáčik Children’s Folklore Ensemble, formed in 2016, serves as a natural rejuvenation of these traditions. Divided into younger and older groups, it currently brings together children aged 5 to 16 from Buzitka and the surrounding area. Under the same pedagogical guidance of the Baláž family, the children’s repertoire draws from traditional games, songs, and customs of Novohrad, incorporating material from the now-defunct localities of Lešť and Turie Pole. Malý Dubkáčik successfully showcased these unique local elements in 2025 with their choreography titled „Koddietke v Lôme svadbu spískajú“ („They are plotting a wedding for the child in Lom“).
