Folklórny súbor Nógrád Táncegyüttes pôsobí v maďarskom meste Šalgotarján od roku 1975 a patrí medzi najstaršie folklórne kolektívy Novohradskej župy. Súbor združuje mladých ľudí i dospelých, ktorých spája láska k maďarskej ľudovej kultúre, silné regionálne cítenie a dlhoročná komunitná tradícia. Od roku 1983 využíva vlastný „Dom tanca“, ktorý sa stal centrom umeleckého i spoločenského života súboru. Hlavným poslaním kolektívu je zachovávanie, štúdium a prezentácia tanečných tradícií regiónu Palóc. Vo svojom repertoári však predstavuje aj ďalšie maďarské a etnické tance z oblasti Karpatskej kotliny. Súbor pravidelne vystupuje na významných domácich i zahraničných folklórnych festivaloch, kde získal viaceré ocenenia za choreografie, hudobné spracovanie i celkovú umeleckú úroveň. Nógrád Táncegyüttes je nositeľom titulu „Vynikajúci súbor“ a patrí medzi rešpektovaných reprezentantov maďarského folklóru. Umeleckými vedúcimi sú Emese Kovács-Jelinek a József Kovács, umeleckým asistentom je Márton Gyebnár. Na festivale sa predstavia autentickými tancami regiónu Palóc, ktoré vynikajú temperamentom, bohatou tradíciou a charakteristickou hudobno-tanečnou kultúrou severného Maďarska.

Nógrád Dance Ensemble, was founded in 1975, in Salgótarján. Ever since the foundation of the group, the members are youngsters and adults from Nógrád county. Besides their passion for folklore, the social life holds together the members within the group. From the beginning, the basis of the ensemble has been the strong community life, which connects the members beyond the practice room activity. The ensemble’s main mission – that stems from our local patriotism – is to learn, present, transfer, furthermore the wider dissemination of the dances of their narrow patriot, the Palóc region, as thoroughly as possible. Of course, besides the dances of the Palóc culture, the Hungarian and ethnic dances from all over the Carpathian Basin could always be found in the repertoire of the ensemble. The ensemble frequently participates in various events in Salgótarján and across Nógrád county, as well as on prestigious Hungarian and foreign folklore festivals, at which the group have won numerous awards. The ensemble has been awarded with the “excellent ensemble” award, alongside with group, musical and choreographic awards. 

The maintainer of the ensemble is the ‘Foundation for Folk Dance in Salgótarján’.
