Súbor má tanečnú aj spevácku zložku. Snažia sa spracovávať hlavne piesne, zvyky a tance z nášho regiónu Novohrad, ale aj z Podpoľania. V ich repertoári nájdete jarné zvyky – Na Morenu, Jarné hry, vianočné zvyky – Od Lucie do Vianoc, tanečné choreografie –  Hádanky, Na sluhu, Šijeme vrecia, Na ručníček, Na vojakov a piesne : Jánske piesne, Málinské a Kalinovské. Tvorba sa zameriava na výučbu a scénickú prezentáciu piesní z Novohradu, detských tancov, hier, riekaniek a zvykoslovia. Aj keď súbor má dve zložky: spevácku a tanečnú, všetky dievčatá dobre spievajú a tancujú. Námety čerpajú z obcí Ábelová, Polichno, Budiná, Tuhár, Madačka. Od vzniku až po súčasnosť je vedúcou Marcela Janštová.

The ensemble has both a dance and a vocal section. They mainly focus on preserving and presenting songs, customs, and dances from the Novohrad region, as well as from Podpoľanie. Their repertoire includes spring customs such as Morena and Spring Games, Christmas traditions such as From St. Lucy’s Day to Christmas, dance choreographies including Riddles, The Servant, Sewing Sacks, The Handkerchief, and Soldiers, as well as songs such as the St. John’s Songs, and songs from Málinec and Kalinovo. Their artistic work focuses on teaching and stage presentation of songs from Novohrad, children’s dances, games, rhymes, and folk customs. Although the ensemble has two sections – vocal and dance – all the girls both sing and dance well. The ensemble draws inspiration from the villages of Ábelová, Polichno, Budiná, Tuhár, and Madačka. Since its establishment until today,
the ensemble has been led by Mgr. Marcela Janštová.
